Weiser Elks to put flags up for Memorial Day

 The Weiser Elks Lodge will be placing U.S. flags at the graves of U.S. service members at Hillcrest Cemetery on Friday, May 26 at 10 a.m. Helpers are welcome. Contact 208-741-2717 for more information. Flags will be removed on Tuesday, May 30 beginning at 10 a.m.

Cyber Security training

The Washington County Federation of Republican Women will meet at Idaho Pizza on Thursday, May 18 at 6 p.m. Jonna Duvall-Williams will present round 2 of Cyber Security training.  Don’t worry if you missed part 1 - this will still be amazing.  If you are using the internet at all, on your phone, laptop, etc., then this is a must for you to attend!  Learn how to protect yourself and your family from that Dark Web!

Herbal expert to give free talk at Bee Tree

 ConservativesOf Washington County will be hosting a free event with Dr. Amy Aldrich DO at the Bee Tree on Thursday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. Dr. Aldrich will give a Power-Point presentation followed with a Q&A session about using what is around us and how to recognize valuable natural herbal remedies. This is good information to have when supply lines are interrupted.

Mary Louise Turner, the daughter of Lucien J. Turner and Mabel Vader Turner, passed away on April 1, 2023 in San Francisco, Calif., after several months struggling to recover from a fall. 
 Mary was Lucien and Mabel’s only child, but she was raised on a farm on the Oregonside among the large Turner family, which included Lucien’s brothers and sisters and their children, so she was never alone.
 Mary attended the two-room Jefferson Grade School, graduating as one of the nine student class of 1950.
