“We had a solid home opener for the 2024 season with a boisterous crowd,” head coach Michelle Estes told the Signal American. “The team is working well together and it shows in the stats with the spread of kills and areas of success.
“As a team we are taking each day that we step onto the court as the most important day of the season, bringing enough focus and energy to get better in each session,” she added. “Our win against Payette showed us areas we are continuing to work on and also showed us a few areas that are working well for us. This is a great group of girls that we coaches are excited to be spending the season with.”

Weiser 3-0 over Homedale
The Wolverines defeated SRV opponent Homedale’s Lady Trojans on Thursday, Sept. 5, 25-16, 25-18, and 25-18.
Coach Estes summed up the night with:
“On the road in Homedale on Thursday, the lady Wolverines stayed calm and poised no matter what was happening. They are showing the love of the game and how much fun they can have on the court. They are able to work through rough patches and then excel and capitalize when the timing is right and they have the momentum.
“This is a great sign of a team on the hunt for a championship. They continue to work as a team spreading the work between multiple players, aiding in the team’s success. Homedale was a worthy opponent that pushed us to play clean and use our toolbox of available plays and shots. We love the challenge of a team that serves well making us a better team.”
