Weiser’s track and field teams place second

The Weiser High School track teams competed in the SRV meet in Payette on Tuesday, April 16. Both the mens and womens teams took second place overall. 
 In the men’s division, McCall-Donnelly took first place with a score of 194. Weiser took second with a score of 109. Fruitland finished third with a score of 94.5. Weiser had several athletes place near the top for several events. 
 In the 100m, Toren Walker placed second with a time of 11.36. Jayden Walker finished third with a time of 11:43. Brock Spencer placed fourth with a time of 11.59. Jackson Laird placed sixth with a time of 11.65. In the 200m, Jayden Walker finished second with a time of 23.24. Jackson Laird placed third with a time of 23.72. 
 In the mid-distance races:  Toren Walker second in the 400 with a time of 50.82 and Garrett Walker placed seventh with a time of 54.58.  In the 800m race, Josh Kelley placed eighth with a time of  2:09.81. In the 300m hurdles, Josh Mizar placed fifth with a time of 44.17. 
 For the long distance races, Judah Parsons placed fourth in the 1600 with a time of 4:49.59 and Josh Kelley placed sixth with a time of 4:56.53. In the 3200, Blake Quinton placed  third with a time of 10:56.99, Gage Walker placed fifth with a time of 11:42.46. 
 Weiser’s relay teams all competed well. The 4x100m team: Jackson Laird, Jayden Walker, Brock Spencer, and Toren Walker placed first with a time of 43:85. The 4x400 team: Jayden Walker, Jackson Laird, Garrett Walker and Toren Walker placed second with a time of 3:31.14. The SMR team: Thayn Blanchard, Alex Juarez, Ryan Youngberg, and Ammon Anderson placed third with a time of 4:09.47
 Several athletes also did well in field events. In shot put, Karsten Walker placed sixth with a throw of 42-08. In discus, Brock Spencer placed sixth with a throw of 123-08. Garrett Walker placed second in high jump with a jump of 5-08.00 Shayd Crossley placed third with a jump of 5-06. Josh Mizar placed first in the triple jump with a jump of 39-00.75.
 In the womens’ competition, McCall-Donnelly finished in first place with a score of 167. Weiser finished second overall with a score of 150. Homedale came in third with a score of 106.5.
 In the sprint distances:  Madi Wilkins placed third in the 100 with a time of 13.33. Bethany Walker placed fifth with a time of 13.68. Rylee Roberts placed sixth with a time of 13.79. In the 200, Madi Jones placed third with a time of 28.40. Evie Dolton placed fifth with a time of 29.26  In the 300m hurdles, Abi Wilkins placed second with a time of 51.27 and Rylee Roberts placed third with a time of 52.29, and Evie Dolton placed fourth with a time of 53.99. 
 In the mid-distance races,  Kailee Lerew placed first in the 400m with a time of 1:02.44 Kamryn Doty placed third with a time of 1:06.22. Madi Jones placed fifth with a time of 1:07.10.  
 In the distance races, Corianna Parsons placed fourth with a time of 6:01.71. Claire Matthews placed first with a time of 12:01.78. Kendall Rynearson placed third with a time of 12:34.50. Corianna Parsons placed fifth with a time of 13:08.74. 
 Weiser’s relay teams also performed very well. The 4x100m relay team: Madi Wilkins, Abi Wilkins, Bethany Walker, and Kailee Lerew placed second with a  time of 51.42. The 4x200 team: Madi Wilkins, Kamryn Doty, Abi Wilkins, and Kailee Lerew placed first with a time of 1:52.09. The 4x400 team: Evie Dolton, Kendall Rynearson, Callee Foster, and Rylee Roberts also placed third with a time of 4:32.7. The SMR team: Madi Wilkins, Bethany Walker, Madi Jones, and Kendall Rynearson placed second with a time of 1:59.49. 
 Weiser also had athletes perform well in the field events. Teagan Hawker placed second in shot put with a distance of 31’. Paytyn Rollins placed third with a distance of 30-07.  In discus,  Anna Rodriguez placed fourth with a throw of 84’1” and Teagan Hawker placed fifth with a throw of 81’4”. In the high jump, Kamryn Doty placed third with a height of 4’08”. Madi Jones placed fourth with a jump of 4-06. In the triple jump, Bethany Walker placed second with a distance of 32’4.5”. 
 In addition to SRV, Weiser sent several of their athletes to a varsity only competition at Middleton High School on April 19. Sixteen total schools were represented at the meet. The Weiser men’s team finished fourth with a score of 86.5. Women’s varsity tied with Middleton for first place with a score of 125. 
 Several athletes were able to score points and achieve PRs as they competed against the elite competition. In the 100m, Jayden Walker placed second with a time of 11.28. Toren Walker finished third with a time of 11:34. Brock Spencer placed fifth with a time of 11.57.  In the 200m, Jayden Walker finished first with a time of 23.11. Jackson Laird placed second with a time of 23.41  
 In the mid-distance races:  Toren Walker first in the 400 with a time of 51.39. In the 800m race, Josh Kelley placed sixth with a time of 2:07.48. For the long distance races, Judah Parsons placed sixth in the 3200 with a time of 10:27.49
 Weiser’s relay teams all competed well. The 4x100m team: Jackson Laird, Jayden Walker, Brock Spencer, and Toren Walker placed second with a time of 43.50. The 4x400 team: Jayden Walker, Jackson Laird, Garrett Walker and Toren Walker placed first with a time of 3:34.87. 
 Several athletes also did well in field events. In discus, Brock Spencer placed eighth with a throw of 130-07. Garrett Walker placed seventh in high jump with a jump of 5-06.00. Josh Mizar placed fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 38’6”.
 In the women’s sprint distances: Madi Wilkins placed fourth in the 100 with a time of 13.16. In the 200, Kailee Lerew placed second with a time of 26.71. 
 In the mid-distance races,  Kailee Lerew placed first in the 400m with a time of 1:01.15. Kamryn Doty placed fourth with a time of 1:05.24. In 300m hurdles, Abi Wilkins placed fourth with a time of 49.94. Evie Dolton placed seventh with a time of 52.60. Claire Matthews placed first in the 800 with a time of 2:27.76. 
 In the distance races, Claire Matthews placed first in the 1600 with a time of 5:41.16. Corianna Parsons placed sixth with a time of 6:04.44. In the 3200, Claire Matthews placed first with a time of 12:10.11. Kendall Rynearson placed third with a time of 12:36.56. 
 Weiser’s relay teams also performed very well. The 4x100m relay team: Madi Wilkins, Abi Wilkins, Bethany Walker, and Kailee Lerew placed second with a  time of 51.14. The 4x200 team: Madi Wilkins, Kamryn Doty, Abi Wilkins, and Kailee Lerew placed first with a time of 1:49.81. The 4x400 team: Evie Dolton, Kendall Rynearson, Callee Foster, and Rylee Roberts also placed second with a time of 4:31.95. 
 Weiser also had athletes perform well in the field events. Teagan Hawker placed fifth in shot put with a distance of 32’0.5”. Paytyn Rollins placed sixth with a distance of 31’1.5”.  In the high jump, Kamryn Doty placed seventh with a height of 4’08”.  In the triple jump, Bethany Walker placed second with a distance of 33’9.5”. 
 Weiser will compete next at the Amy Christofferson Invite in Homedale on Friday, April 26.
