Idahoans and U.S. have been sold down the river

Dear Editor:
Last week, Senators Crapo and Risch both voted to send $61 billion to Ukraine ($95 billion total) to supply munitions for the ongoing conflict there, more than that allocated to fund the U.S. Marine Corps, while ignoring the crisis at our own border and the needs of the U.S. military for hardware and supplies. There is no excuse for that, though I’m sure they will continue to offer them to placate anyone who questions their vote.
Idahoans and the U.S. at large, have been sold down the river to further enlarge our bloated national debt (currently about $34 trillion) by borrowing yet more money from China, and using it to continue the deadly conflict in Ukraine, rather than use it to suppress the unending flow of illegal immigrants into the U.S.
It’s time for Idaho to dump the current senators, who seemingly have become mired in and beholden to deep-state politics, placing those demands over that of their constituents. We need to find new blood that has the integrity, strength, and will to resist the pressures of Washington politics, while representing the ideals of Idaho and its citizens. Let the search begin now!
