  • The third annual Weiser Wrestling Turkey Trot drew 115 participants, including four relay teams, spread out between 5k and one-mile races on Thanksgiving morning. The Wolverine cannon crew was on hand to start the race off with a big bang. This year’s fundraiser pulled in approximately $3,000, which will go a long way in assisting the Wolverines with travel expenses during the 2025-2026 season. Photo by Nancy Grindstaff

  • The Weiser Christmas Giveaway Passport can be found on Page 3 of the Nov. 27 issue of the Weiser Signal American. Cut out the passport, visit 10 or more of the listed businesses and collect stamps on your passport on Dec. 4 and Dec. 5. Submit passport to Peoples Furniture between 5-6:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 to enter in the prize drawing. Grand prize drawing will be held at the Train Depot at 7 p.m. The passport will also be available in the Thursday, Dec. 4 issue of the newspaper.

  • Weiser Memorial Hospital Foundation’s 2025 Festival of Trees set a fundraising record this year, raising more than $136,000 that will benefit departmental needs at the hospital. Friday’s open day for the entire community drew nice crowds enjoying local musical talent, and taking in the beautifully decorated Christmas trees.
