Warren Eugene Shepard

It is with great sorrow we let you all know of the passing of Warren Eugene Shepard, 84 years old. He passed away May 23, 2026, at home surrounded by family.
Warren was born Nov. 1, 1941, in Oregon, Missouri to Clark and Mary Shepard. He had an older brother Eldon.
At 3 years old, they moved to Weiser, Idaho where he attended grade school and high school. Warren loved his childhood in Weiser where his love for fishing-hunting developed, bonding many lifetime friendships.
After high school he headed to the University of Idaho for a teaching degree.
He married Dolores Trugerio in 1962 in Weiser, Idaho. Twin daughters Katy Marie and Laura Ann soon filled their lives. They moved to Meridian, Idaho where he taught at Meridian High. In 1977 they divorced.
Warren still built grandfather clocks he made for boat dealers, so he could resell the boats opening Meridian Boats in downtown Meridian.
In 1979 he married Sallyann Shepard. As the business grew, they bought property on Fairview Ave. in Meridian. For 10 years they ran that business. Warren also did so well boat manufacturers ask him to distribute from them.
In 2000 they moved to Weiser, Idaho where they had purchased land to devote to wildlife. (he said it was payback for all the fish and wildlife he had processed in his life). Warren spent his years bringing back pheasants, geese and deer to the land. He loved the place and worked hard on the habitat.
In 2025 due to health issues, he moved with his wife to Meridian to be closer to doctors and help.
Warren is survived by his wife Sallyann, his children Katy Marie and Laura Ann as well as 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Many friends that were like family to him.
In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
 Warren will truly be missed.
