The Weiser Signal American’s annual Easter Coloring Contest is back, and this year’s celebration is bigger, brighter, and open to artists of every age. From toddlers with crayons to adults who never lost their love of coloring, the 2026 contest invites the entire community to join in a tradition that has delighted Weiser families for generations.
Local businesses across town are once again partnering with the Signal American to host and judge entries. Each coloring page lists its sponsoring business, and completed entries should be returned to that same business. Participants may enter one page per person per business, giving everyone a chance to visit their favorite shops – and maybe discover a few new ones along the way.
Three Divisions, Three Grand Prizes
This year’s contest features three age divisions:
• Children: 5th grade and younger.
• Pre-teens and teens: 6th-12th grade.
• Adults: 18 and older.
Each business will select its own winners in the children’s division and contact them directly. But the excitement doesn’t stop there – each age group also includes a grand prize, awarded from among all entries submitted across town.
• Children’s Grand Prizes:
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Pioneer Express, one girl and one boy will each take home a brand-new bicycle – a Weiser Easter tradition that always brings big smiles.
• Teen and Adult Grand Prizes:
The Signal American is sponsoring one grand prize in each of the older divisions, featuring gift cards and certificates to participating local businesses. It’s a perfect way to celebrate creativity while supporting the shops that keep Weiser thriving.
Important Dates
• Entry Deadline: All coloring pages must be returned to their sponsoring business by Friday, April 10, at 5 p.m.
• Winner Photos: A group photo of all division winners will be taken at the Signal American office, 18 East Idaho, on Friday, April 17, at 1 p.m.
• Grand Prize Bicycle Winners: Immediately following, at 2 p.m., the children’s grand prize winners will gather for a photo at Pioneer Express, located at the corner of Pioneer Road and West 7th Street.
A Community
Tradition
Worth Celebrating
The Easter Coloring Contest has long been one of Weiser’s most charming spring traditions – an event that brings families downtown, connects neighbors with local businesses, and showcases the creativity of our community. Whether you’re five or 95, this is your chance to add a little color to Weiser’s Easter season.
Coloring pages are available in the Signal American’s 2026 Easter coloring book. A copy is included in today’s issue of the newspaper, and copies may also be found at each participating business. Pick yours up, sharpen those pencils, and help make this year’s contest the most vibrant yet.
