Dean Wikoff

August 25, 1934 –
January 3, 2026
Dean Wikoff passed away on Jan. 3, 2026 at the age of 91.
He was born in Midvale, Idaho to Oscar and Clarissa Wikoff.
Dean served in the Air Force from 1952-1956. When he left the Air Force he moved to Portland, Ore,. where he met Nancy Ellis.
On June 5, 1959 Dean and Nancy were married. They shared 52 years of marriage, four children, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
For the majority of their children’s growing-up years, Dean and Nancy raised their family in Spanaway, Wash., where Dean worked for the FAA. In 1987 Dean was transferred to work in Anchorage, Alaska. He loved Alaska and loved all of the time he could spend fishing and hunting.
After 6 years in Alaska Dean and Nancy moved to Weiser, Idaho and then to Orting, Wash.
Dean’s wife Nancy died in 2011, while they were living in Orting. After Nancy passed, Dean later moved back to Weiser, where he lived until 2021. While there he enjoyed maintaining his small farm and strategizing on how to keep the pigeons out of his barn. He moved to Puyallup, Wash. on Jan. 3, 2021.
Dean loved anything to do with the outdoors. He rarely passed on an opportunity to hunt or fish. While he lived in Alaska he had a gold claim that he enjoyed. Like most, he worked the claim for fun because he didn’t get much gold.
He will be laid to rest at the Midvale Cemetery next to his wife, Nancy.
