Daniel James Marvin

 Dan was born on March 14, 1961 in Weiser, Idaho to Leslie Marvin and Evelyn (Evans) Marvin, joining siblings Nathan, Lee Ann and Jody at home. 
 Dan attended public schools in Weiser, graduating from Weiser High School in 1980. Dan attended Boise State University for two years, receiving certification in auto mechanics in 1982.
 Dan worked for Hanigan Chevrolet in Payette for a period of time after college. He worked a season for the U.S. Forest Service, Council Ranger District, on the reforestation crew. Dan spent time working at Matthew’s Grain and Storage and most recently for Washington County Road and Bridge, as a truck driver. Dan volunteered and served many years on the Weiser Rural Fire District.
 Dan enjoyed tinkering on his various cars and pickups, and adding to his collection of parts. Dan was an avid collector and loved to treasure hunt for vintage toy cars and trains; old equipment and tools, movies, posters and other misc. memorabilia.
 Dan loved his family and was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews as they were growing up. 
 Dan is survived by his brother Nathan (Leah) Marvin, Weiser, and his sister Lee Ann Evans of Council. Nephews; Justin Moore, Kuna, Brody (Amy) Smith, Payette, Kurt (Kendra) Marvin, Weiser, and Brent (Danielle) Marvin, Weiser. Nieces; Andria (BJ) Hall, Council, Tana (Kyle) Freedman, Council, Amy (Jeremy) Black, Weiser, and Heather (Peter) Shaw, Vancouver, Wash., as well as numerous great nephews and nieces, with recent additions of a great-great nephew and a great-great niece.
 Dan was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Jody (Marvin) McMullen.
 Graveside services will be held on Nov. 21, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weiser.
