William ‘Bill’ Adolph Richards, Jr.

 William “Bill” Adolph Richards, Jr. of Weiser, Idaho, passed away on Sept. 29, 2023, at home with family at his side.
 Bill was born on Dec. 26, 1933, to parents William Adolph Richards and Nannie Elizabeth McElroy Richards in McRae, White County, Ark. 
 Bill moved with his family in his early teens to central California where he graduated from Le Grand High School in 1952.
 Bill was married to his first wife where they moved to Hayward, Calif., and had three children. He divorced and then married his second wife, and they had a son.
 He worked at the Ford Plant in Fremont, Calif., and later worked for AC Transit out of Oakland, Calif., where he drove a public transit bus until 1988. After retiring he moved to Delhi, Calif., where he grew almonds for Blue Diamond.
 In March 1989 he moved to Weiser, Idaho where he lived his retired life, hunting, fishing and working in his garden. He was always ready to help anyone in need as he made many friends.
 He is survived by his two sisters, Imogene Cox and Velma Jane Killough, along with his four children, Debra Marlene Fox, Dorothy Jean Rupp, Darryl Wesley Richards, and William Valentine Richards, and “the love of his life” for 30 years, Mary Ellen Leffler.
 He will be missed by all.
 Graveside services will be held Friday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.
