State play-in game against Fruitland will be streamed online

The Weiser Wolverines will travel to Fruitland for the first round of the state championship games. Six teams will be playing this weekend to see who will advance to the quarter-finals to be held Nov. 6 and 7.

"The playoff bracket this year did not have any pre-set matchups. We took the 6 teams that have to play this weekend and used MaxPreps to rank them 1-6. Kimberly, ranked number 1 hosts  Kellogg (6), South Fremont (2) hosts American Falls (5), Fruitland (3) hosts Weiser (4)," said Tyler Grant, WSD athletic director.

Due to the State of Idaho returning to Stage 3 in the reopening plan seating for the games will be limited to 25 percent.

"All vouchers for tonight’s playoff game have been claimed. Just a reminder for everyone that you will not be admitted into the stadium without a ticket voucher. If you were unable to get voucher but would still like to watch tonight’s game, the game will be live streamed at www.nfhsnetwork.com," said Grant.

District 3 champion, the Homedale Trojans, received a bye and their first game will be next weekend for the quarter-finals. The five district champions and the three play-in qualifiers will be seeded by rank (1-8) for the quarter-finals.
