Sally Whitaker

Beloved mother and grandmother Sally Whitaker of Weiser, Idaho entered the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on April 8, 2024 at the age of 81.  
 Sally was born Feb. 8, 1943 in Corvallis, Ore. to Owen and Berniece Kibble.  
 She resided in the Willamette Valley and on the Oregon Coast until 1997, when she moved with her husband John to retire in Weiser, Idaho. Together, they restored a historic house where they farmed, raised sheep and gardened.
 She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Gary Kibble.  
 Sally is survived by her daughter Kim (Hugh) Wales, her son Todd (Janet) Whitaker, grandson Justin Wales, granddaughter Melissa (Eli) Miller, grandson Trevor (Ryanne) Whitaker, brother Marty (Marsha) Kibble, brother Mike (Tammy) Kibble, many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
 She was surrounded by caring neighbors, fellow members of the Shamrock Ladies Club, and other members of the community who generously helped her live independently as she wished since her husband died in 2015.
 A celebration of life will be held at Sunnyside Farm and Events in Weiser on Saturday, May 18 at 2 p.m. Donations in Sally’s memory can either be made to the Shamrock Ladies Club, c/o Julie Holmes at 1924 Cove Road, Weiser, ID 83672 or to the Angel Camp Cowboy Church, c/o Trudy Morris at 2147 Old Hwy.
