Reaffirming our commitment to public safety

I’m writing to share that Weiser is reaffirming the Weiser Police Department’s mission: to lead through service, protect life, ensure public safety, and enhance the quality of life for all residents. 

 Our department emphasizes professional and ethical policing, active community partnership, and the constitutional enforcement of the law, with accountability to the people it serves.

 Key leaders and staff include Chief Troy Krahn; Lieutenant Riley Hall; Captains Delaine Singletom and Cody Samson; Detective Hayden Newbold; Patrol Officers Joshua Pratt, Austin Stratton, Ryan Vanderwerf, James Henry, and Maddox Stevens; School Resource Officer Trei Walker; Code Enforcement Officer Kori Rex; and Office/Evidence Control staff Mallisa Campbell and Ange Goodwin. The average tenure among personnel is about eight years, reflecting a strong commitment to our community.

 This work is a partnership between Weiser’s residents and its law enforcement – built on transparency, accountability, and open communication. I encourage everyone to engage with public safety programs and participate in community meetings and city channels for updates and input. Together we can keep Weiser a safe place to live and raise our families.
