Phyllis Carol Luke

Phyllis Carol Luke was kind-hearted and whose quiet and meditative nature brought a sense of calm to everyone around her.
Born on Dec. 12, 1939, in Granite City, Illinois, Phyllis passed away on May 10, 2024, in Ontario, Ore.
She found pleasure in gardening and working in her yard, and in the beauty of nature. She loved to travel, and the beach always held a special place in her heart. She had a particular fondness for rock hunting, especially for agates.
Phyllis leaves behind a large, loving family: her daughters, Carolyn and Brenda Chadwick; her son, Bobby Chadwick; and another son, Edward Luke. She is warmly remembered by her grandchildren, Sunshine and Noah, and her great-grandchildren, Robin, Shelby, Tanner, Jewell, Chloe, Blayke, and Aryana. Her legacy extends even further to her great-great-grandchildren, Raylene, Aaleygah, and Halle, sisters, Leona Slover (Dean) and Rita Sullivan (Rick).
Phyllis is now reunited with her parents, Floyd Stroup and Lucille Sherfy Adams, her late son Robert Chadwick, her husband Ed Luke, her sisters Karen Browning, and Sharon DeMond.
Although they are no longer with us, their memories and influence continue to shape the lives of those who remain.
A Celebration of Life for Phyllis will be held on Aug. 3, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the clubhouse at Little Country Village in Payette, Idaho. Friends and family are invited to gather and share stories and memories that celebrate the gentle, yet impactful presence Phyllis had on all our lives. Rest in peace, Phyllis. You will forever be in our hearts.
