Parade, fireworks, music, to fill up weekend fun

Just a quick reminder. The Weiser Signal American’s coloring contest ends on Friday, Dec. 6. Please have all your colored pictures into the participating merchants by 5 p.m. The businesses will choose their winners and will be in contact with the winners. 

 Everyone who participated in the coloring contest is invited to come to the triangle park across the street from Les Schwab and get a group picture with Santa Claus. We are very lucky to have Santa visit us during his busy holiday season. The picture will be taken on Friday, Dec. 13 at 3:30 p.m. Enter for your chance to win prizes.

 This weekend will be busy with the holiday parade kicking off at 6 p.m. on Friday at the Weiser Middle School, traveling west on E. Park Street, left on State Street and ending at the historic train depot. Santa will light up the city’s Christmas tree and Bill Taylor will be setting off fireworks. After the fireworks display Santa will listen to Christmas wishes in the festivally decorated depot. 

 The depot’s open house will run from Dec. 6-8 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

 The Weiser Public Library will have a holiday open house and craft market, Dec. 5-7. The market will be open on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 Santa’s schedule has changed a bit from the schedule announced in the Weiser Signal American’s holiday edition. 

 Saturday, Dec. 7, Santa will be at K Hardware from 10 a.m. to noon.

 Saturday, Dec. 14, find Santa at Ruszonis Pizza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 Thursday, Dec. 19, Santa and his friends from Annex School will arrive at Bi-Mart for their annual Christmas reunion.

 Friday, Dec. 20, Santa and his friends will go on the 2024 Ho Ho Express leaving Weiser High School at 8 a.m. for their annual Walmart shopping excursion.

 Saturday, Dec. 21, Santa will be at Ridley’s to meet youngsters of all ages from 10 a.m. to noon.

 The Weiser High School and Weiser Middle School choir concert has been moved to Monday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Weiser High School auditorium.

 Do you enjoy listening to Christmas music? The Upper Country Singers and the children’s choir will perform this Sunday at the Washington County Fairgrounds Exhibit hall at 3 p.m.

 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Christmas Chreche Exhibit is scheduled for Dec. 7 and Dec. 8 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
