Leo Wesley Spencer

 Leo Wesley Spencer was born Aug. 22, 1977, in Weiser, Idaho to Gordon and JoAnn Spencer. 

 Leo passed away at the age of 46 on Sept. 18, 2023.

 Leo graduated from Weiser High School in 1996 and then went to Centennial JobCorps where he studied culinary arts and graduated in March 1998. 

 He then married his wife, Jennifer, on Aug. 28, 1998, just recently celebrating 25 years together. 

 Leo worked for McDonald’s until he was medically unable to work.

 He and Jennifer have a son and daughter, with whom he enjoyed playing board games, going camping and fishing, and loved taking trips to Eastern and Northern Idaho.

 He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and computer and video games. His favorite pastime was playing video games with his children, nieces and nephew. He loved to crack jokes, no matter what the circumstances were. He loved to be around friends and family on Sunday afternoons for a game of pinochle. He also looked forward to getting his great-nephew every week and spending one-on-one time with him.

 Leo was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He never knew a stranger.

 He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Spencer, Weiser; son, Tanner Spencer, Weiser; daughter and son-in-law, Jordan and Riley Darby, Weiser; brother and sister-in-law Brad and Kristie Spencer, Weiser; father-in-law Bud Phelps, Council, Idaho; sister-in-law Jamie (Cesar) Reyes, Ontario, Ore.; brother-in-law Steve (Janine) Phelps, Princeton, Ky.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Leo is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and JoAnn Duncan Howard; sister Jacqueline Jackling; grandparents Delbert and Goldie Duncan, Wayne and Grace Spencer; great-niece Freya Finch; and mother-in-law Shirley Phelps.

 Services for Leo will be held on Oct. 12, 2023, at 3 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Weiser.
