Members of the Four County Art Guild have selected the September school artist winners for the 2024-2025 school.
The Guild has been awarding student artists at area schools for many decades on a monthly basis, with top winners receiving blue, red, and white ribbons, in addition to monetary awards, as well as honorable mention winners winning ribbons.
At Weiser High School, Emily Limon’s computer graphic piece caught the judges eyes, earning the first place blue ribbon. Shelby Babb earned red, and Anyka Duran, white. Kassi Smith and Charlotte Hiner each were awarded honorable mention ribbons.
Weiser Middle School’s artists opted out of the September competition in anticipation of being better prepared in October.
Park Intermediate School’s Alison Ragan entered a color drawing of her gray statuesque cat, winning the blue ribbon. John Walker earned second, and Bella Gonzalez, third. Lily Bain, Madie Millar, and Liam McInroy each took home an honorable mention.
Pioneer Elementary School’s Raegan Goff won the blue ribbon with perhaps a self-portrait, indicating her happiness at being back in school. Toni Rose Starke and Piper Roundtree won red and white ribbons, and Brandon Torres and Brock Stromberg each won an honorable mention.
