Coats still available to those in need

 It never ceases to amaze me how generous the Weiser community is. I sent out a plea for coats (new or used) in September and what a response we had! The drop box at the library had to be emptied constantly, sometimes daily. We collected used coats in pristine condition for all ages and sizes and many brand new children’s coats.

 Our big giveaway was Oct. 28. Led by volunteers from St. Agnes Catholic Church in affiliation with Love INC. and assisted by volunteers from Weiser Church of Christ and many friends, we handed out a combination of 375 winter coats and hoodies, as well as scarves, hats and gloves.

We are currently totally out of both boys and girls coats from size 5T to size 10. If you have one or more you can donate, please call or text me at (208) 550-0990.

 Help does not end with the giveaway. Anyone needing a coat can still call Love INC and we will do our best to accommodate.

 The drop box at the library has now been removed but will be back next September. The ladies that work in the library have been a great help getting the word out and minding the box.

 What a wonderful town Weiser is! This just proves that together we can accomplish so much.
