Appalled about another school district levy

Editor:
I am writing this to address the Weiser School Districts’ proposed levy for the Nov. 4 election. I am appalled that the district would attempt to put another levy on the backs of home owners.
When will it end? It seems that we have had school district levy’s on each of the past three elections (one being a special election).
Do we really need all day kindergarten? I remember growing up and both of my parents worked, but figured out how to accommodate the “normal” kindergarten day and still hold down their jobs. Fast forward another generation and I was able to raise 4 kids, hold down full time employment, and still accommodate the kindergarten schedule (basically half day). I implore the parents of today to step up and figure out how to manage their schedules with a “normal” kindergarten schedule.
Bottom line, kids of kindergarten age do not need to be in class all day. Maybe this is how the school district begins indoctrination.
The other issue I have is pay to play sports. Once again, as I was being raised as a youngster and played sports, my parents footed the bill for all costs associated with playing said sports. I managed to foot the bill for the four kids I raised as well as they all played multiple sports.
This shouldn’t be put on the backs of homeowners.
Is all day kindergarten and not paying to play sports worth just one homeowner being forced out of their home (possible one they are planning on being their forever home or have lived in their entire life) because they can’t keep affording the increased property taxes. If my math is correct, this levy would cost homeowners an additional $80 to $90 per 100k assessed value of their home.
Think about this before you cast your vote. We are a hard no in our household.
