Weiser was abuzz with activity this past weekend, and what has grown into a favorite localstanding event played out on Saturday, Oct. 5,  at Mortimer’s Island, the Weiser Mud Drags.
Having been part of the event from its beginnings, local co-organizer Laurel Adams said the times and results will be posted soon, but in the meantime fans and competitors can be planning on another in 2025.
“The weather was perfect and the vendors rocked it,” Adams said. “We had a great variety, along with LOTS of spectators.
“They were happy, enthusiastic, and noisy,” she said.
Adams said the event had great backup from crews with the Weiser Fire Department, Weiser Police, and Washington County Ambulance.
As well, Weiser High School’s auto mechanics class students were on hand to wash off mud from the competitive rigs in the timed races.
“Jeff Carpenter, our favorite announcer, was completely awesome, as per usual,” Adams added.
A look at the 2025 calendar indicates the next go-round in Weiser will be set on Oct. 4.
