Wolverine golf teams end regular season play at SRV meet in Payette

The Weiser Wolverine golf team played a round of 18 holes of golf at Scotch Pines Golf Course in Payette on Tuesday, May 3. 
 It was another successful day on the course for the Wolverines, where they were able to work on their game in preparation for the upcoming district tournament. 
 The boys varsity team had a team score of 378 and fourth place. The Weiser girls ended the day in second place with a team score of 459. 
 Lucy Hickey, playing well, led the Wolverines with a score of 103 and third place medalist. Tea Uranga had a 87 earning first place medalist honors and Lexi Larsen from McCall had a 101 for second place. 
 The McCall Vandal girls had a team score of 432 earning first place for the teams. Weiser close behind had a score of 459 for second place. Fruitland girls took third place with a score of 488. 
 Along with Lucy Hickey’s score of 103, Paige Johnson had a 111, Jasi Yraguen a 115, and Serena Boles 130. 
 Carter Williams took first place medalist honors with a score of 75 only three strokes over par for the 18 holes. Tate Ova of McCall and Luke Henry of Homedale tied for second with a score of 82.
 Devyn Young added a solid score of 93 to Carter William’s 75. Kash Cobb had a 94, Luke Sarich 116, and Braxton Franek 119. 
 The McCall boys also earned first place with a score of 344. Homedale squeaked out a one point second place finish with a score of 357. The Fruitland boys finished the day with a score of 358. 
 The Snake River Valley district tournament took place on Monday, May 9 at Timberstone Golf Course out of Caldwell. No scores were available at the time of printing.
