A foul call against the Vandals three minutes into the second half lined Weiser defender Pablo Hernandez up for a direct penalty kick. Hernandez put the ball squarely behind the big Vandal goalie, expanding the Wolverines’ lead to 2-0.
McCall answered with a goal by Rylan Pate off of a corner kick, narrowing Weiser’s lead to 2-1.
Back on the Wolverines offensive end of the field, Garcia scored for the home team, giving Weiser a 3-1 lead.
