Weiser’s Jensen selected as Miss Idaho

Weiser native Sarah Jensen is Miss Idaho 2022. 

 In addition to the Miss Idaho title, Sarah earned the overall talent award, the overall interview award, the overall Social Impact Pitch award, the People’s Choice award, The Bert Parks award (Miss Congeniality) and The Four Points of the Crown Award. 

 Sarah is the daughter of Margaret and John Jensen.  

 Jensen represented the region as Miss Western Idaho. She earned that title through an online competition this year because the Miss Western Idaho pageant (as well as several others around the state) did not happen live. 

 For the talent portion of the competition, Jensen performed a piano solo from The Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack. Jensen has played the piano for several years and has worked very hard to perfect her performance. 

 Jensen’s social impact initiative “Why Math Matters” is inspired by her work as a math teacher. Jensen has taught seventh grade math in Middleton for three years and will be teaching middle school math for Gem Prep Meridian North this fall. Jensen hopes to show young students and adults about the importance of math to their future.  

 Jensen has competed in pageants for several years including the Miss Idaho competition five times.  She will represent Idaho at the Miss America competition in December.
