Spring sports start in typically chilly weather

Weiser High School spring sports have started. The WHS JV baseball team took on New Plymouth for their season opener at home on Saturday. The afternoon turned chilly when a breeze picked up, a reminder that spring is not official until next week on March 20. Tyra Ramirez and Jade Reyes, both sophomores at Weiser High School, bundled up against the brisk temperatures and found a spot on the hill to watch the JV game.
