Public hearing on Gentry Lane Monday, Dec. 11

 Washington County Commissioners will hear testimony regarding Gentry Lane located north of Weiser at a public hearing set for Monday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. at the Vendome Events Center located at 309 State St. in Weiser.

 It is anticipated that the public hearing will draw a large crowd, considering Gentry Lane, located about four miles north of Weiser, has been the center of heated dispute over purported property rights and access for at least two years.  

 The hearing is to consider, “the validation or abandonment of the right-of-way widely recognized as Gentry Lane,” according to a county legal notice. (The full notice is on page 13 of this issue of the Signal American.)

 Interested parties can attend the public hearing and provide comment or submit written comment prior to, or at, the hearing, according the county’s notice.
