One killed in three-vehicle accident on Highway 95

A Weiser woman was killed in a three-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 95 near Cahill Lane last Wednesday when she was hit head-on by a pickup truck.
 According to the Idaho State Police, Marriah B. Petersen, 38, of Emmett, was driving northbound in a 2002 Dodge pickup at about 7:39 a.m. Mary E. Nobbs, 37, of Weiser, was driving southbound in a 2012 Toyota Yaris. Samantha A. Myers, 26, of Weiser, was driving southbound in a 2011 Chevy Impala behind Nobbs.
 Petersen failed to maintain control, crossed the center line and struck both Nobbs and Myers’ vehicles. Myers and Nobbs were wearing seatbelts. Petersen was not wearing a seatbelt.
 Myers and Petersen were transported by ambulance to Weiser Memorial Hospital. Nobbs succumbed to her injuries on scene. 
 Both north and soutbound lanes on Highway 95 were blocked for three hours. 
 Other accidents and slide-offs were reported in the area due to slick roads. The ISP did not say if slick road conditions contributed to the accident.
