MIDVALE’S JULY 4TH PARADE!

The community of Midvale  celebrated July 4th with a parade and everyone was invited to participate. Above, the patriotic Midvale VFW float rolled through town carrying both Midvale and Cambridge members of the VFW.  Longtime Midvale residents Rob and Melba Wiggins were picked as the parade grand marshals this year. They rode in Ray Miller’s 1930 Model A Ford, which was polished to a shine for the occasion. Everybody gets to participate in Midvale’s July 4th parade. The weather was great on Saturday to ride in the parade or just watch from the sidelines. There was a ton of candy tossed to kids along the parade route, which started next to the Midvale Mercantile and went up Bridge Street to the school. The Midvale pool committee organizes the parade, and events held during the day. After the parade, everyone headed  over to the school for a barbecue lunch, followed by the duck race on the Weiser River. The lunch raised funds for the nonprofit Midvale pool.
