Love INC’s partner churches will host ‘Love INC Sunday’ on Feb. 14

The theme of the Love INC fundraiser this year is: “We are Love INC.” The theme is inspired by the verse: 1Corinthians 12:27 “Now you are the body of Christ and each one of you is a part of it.”
 Each week throughout the month, Love INC will release a short two to four minute informational video that highlights who Love INC is, what the organization does, how they are able to do it, as well as the organization’s vision for the future.
 The videos will be shown in local churches and will also be available on the Love INC website, Facebook page, and in their weekly email newsletter
 Love INC director, Pam Burris shared that the goal is to raise $30,000 throughout the month as this is the amount the organization would have set as the goal for the Gala.
 “We only do one major fundraiser each year and the funds we raise represent 30 percent of our operating budget. The rest of our funds come from our regular monthly donors and those who make other special donations throughout the year,” Burris said.
 Love INC’s partner churches will host a special “Love INC Sunday” on Feb. 14.  Some churches are doing special things to highlight their partnership in Love INC like decorations, special speakers, desserts, and special offerings collected.
 On this day over 110 Love INC volunteers will be wearing their new “We are Love INC” t-shirts to highlight how many people are actively involved in serving the county through Love in the Name of Christ.
 Love in the Name of Christ Washington County is an independent 501 governed by local board of directors and made up of a partnership of 16 local Christian churches working together to serve Washington County residents.  
 Love INC Washington County has been serving our neighbors in Washington County as well as Council, Idaho and Annex since 2009. Love INC Washington County is affiliated with the National Love INC movement (www.loveinc.org) which has been serving people in need for over 40 years.
 As stated on the Love INC website, the mission of the organization is to mobilize local Christian churches to transform lives and our community in the name of Christ. The vision is to see Christian churches united in purpose and fully engaged in actively living out their faith by lovingly serving people in need in their communities.
 In the efforts to spread the love of Christ and serve in His name, the local organization offers a food pantry, winter coats, school supplies and backpacks, personal hygiene and medical supplies, a community garden, and much more to those in need.
 The organization also offers personal enrichment programs including Bible study, celebrate recovery, weekly soup kitchen, divorce support groups, financial peace and faith and finance classes.
 Love in the Name of Christ Washington County is entirely privately funded. There is no funding or grants from government entities, so the group relies solely on church partners, local businesses, service organizations, and many generous individuals in the community for financial support.
