Letter: Re-elect Gibbs and Nyce to Weiser School Board

1) and Treasurer Kerry Nyce

(Zone 5) are running for reelection.

I would like to encourage

the voters in those two zones

to re-elect these board members

to the Weiser School

District Board of Trustees.

Both trustees have served

more than 20 years and each have attended more than 200 board meetings during their years of service.

They understand the district and its needs. They helped keep the district financially stable through the 2008-09 recession and over time have worked to re-establish and add new programs for kids, bring back lost certified and classified positions, and they consistently vote to procure funds to maintain our aging buildings.

Both men’s children attended our schools and graduated from WHS. Both men serve in leadership positions on our board.

Both men have been recognized as outstanding board members by the Idaho School Board Association.

Weiser has a fine reputation as a school district across the state because of the leadership on our board. Both men are respected by the administration and staff of the district.

Perhaps one of their greatest strengths has been to keep the district on a strong financial basis as noted by our excellent annual audits while keeping the tax burden of our local patrons the lowest of all the SRV districts and the 98th lowest in the state.

They both repeatedly state in board meetings that their only concern is doing what is best for the kids in our district.

Please vote for these two experienced and well respected trustees who will serve the best interests of the students in our community.
