Letter: Haines gets our support for county commissioner

 My wife Peggy and I are supporting Lyndon Haines in his campaign for Washington County Commissioner from District 1. 

 Lyndon recently requested a meeting with me and other former county commissioners in order to get a better understanding of the office he is seeking. 

 I was pleasantly surprised at his in-depth research he had already done, his understanding of Idaho Code as it pertains to elected officials and particular to the duties of county commissioners. 

 Lyndon is a man of high moral character and will fulfill his oath of office with dedication to his duties as a county commissioner. 

 Lyndon has a passion for serving the citizens of Washington County with dignity and transparency. 

 He believes as I do that our form of government is and should always be “of the people by the people and for the people.”

 His conservative values, his willingness to listen to the view point of others, along with his ability to do the research necessary to reach an informed decision on all matters brought before the board.  

 This will give the Washington County Board of Commissioners a much-needed representative of the people and for the people. 

 I believe he has a vision of a future for Washington County that we can all be proud of.

 That is why Peggy and I will be voting for Lyndon Haines in the May primary election. Please consider doing the same.
