Letter: Gibbs has worked to make school district exceptional

I wanted to write a letter of
support for Cary Gibbs running
for re-election on the
Weiser School Board.
As a teacher and when I
was president of the local
teacher’s union, the Weiser
Education Association, I
worked with Cary on numerous
committees.
He always made an effort
to be at all the early morning
and late evening meetings
and school visits. He took
interest and stayed updated
about the current education
trends, finances and laws.
He took his role seriously
to make the best improvements
possible for our Weiser
students.
When we were in negotiations,
he tried hard to support
the teachers and administrators
while also remembering
to represent the community
members who had elected
him.
I would attend meetings
involving teachers from other
school districts. When I listened
to the stories about the
disconnected actions of their
school board, I always came
home thankful for our school
board members.
Cary Gibbs is one of the
board members who helps
keep the stability that has
made our Weiser School District
exceptional.
In an election that mostly
involves those who live in
the city, it would be a shame
for those of us who live out
of city limits to not come in
and vote for our school board
members.
