Lamm & Co. establishing fifth office in Weiser

Lamm & Co., a long-established area CPA firm, opened its fifth office on Oct. 2 in Weiser. Located off Highway 95 and E. Main Street, the company offers a slew of services in addition to external CFO services. They have locations in Grangeville, McCall, Emmett, Fruitland, and now Weiser.

 “We specialize in taxes, bookkeeping and payroll,” said Tammie Cox, Enrolled Agent and Senior Tax Associate at the Weiser location.

 Cox has been providing tax services for 13 years, getting her start in the industry at H&R Block. She attended high school in Stanfield, Ore. and later attended Treasure Valley Community College for her associate degree. 

 Cox said she enjoys the work she does. 

 “When I first started, I didn’t think I’d enjoy it at all,” she said. “Now I’ve been doing it for 13 years and I absolutely love it – I don’t just like it, I love it. I enjoy most the interaction with our clients and the challenges with changing tax law.”

 She chose to come to Weiser when the new office opened because of the town’s size. 

 “I like small communities,” she said. “We plan on being involved in the community, which is one of the main reasons we chose Weiser. We already have plans to participate in the winter night parade. We are going to have a float and look forward to participating.”

 Lamm & Co. offers a long list of services for both individual and business clientele.

 Individual services include income tax preparation, tax planning, budgeting, and consulting.

 Business services include new business startup, tax preparation, payroll and bookkeeping services, QuickBooks help, entity selection, business consulting, tax planning, set up Chart of Accounts, and CFO services. 

 As for choosing Weiser as the site for the company’s next branch, Senior Manager Derek Reis said, “it was the next logical step in the company’s expansion.” 

 “We were looking at connecting our other two sets of offices (Grangeville/McCall and Fruitland/Emmett) and Weiser was an obvious choice” he said, “our Fruitland office has a growing list of clients from Council, Cambridge, Midvale and Weiser. We noticed a need and wanted to help the community and surrounding areas by filling it. Our goal is to be there for the client and help them in whatever needs they have or at least point them in the right direction.”
