James (Jim) Benjamin Poynor

James (Jim) Benjamin Poynor passed quietly in Boise, Idaho March 14, 2022.

 Jim was born June 1, 1948 in Pocatello, Idaho.  

 He traveled with his father being in college then as a Marine. He grew up in Weiser. He was an only child. He graduated from Weiser High School in 1968. Then attended Lincoln Technical Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.  

 He married Mila Roberts on July 22, 1971. They had five children, Tasha, James R., Micah, Jacob and Lane.  

 Through the years he worked in farming as an auto mechanic, police officer, in the Wyoming oil field, RV repair and school maintenance.

 His hobbies were welding, shooting and reloading, four wheeling, camping and snowmobiling.  He loved his family and friends and his collies. He was a quiet soft-spoken man and will be missed.

 Jim is survived by his spouse, and children James R. Poynor and children, Micah Poynor, Jacob and Jaylene Poynor and children, Lane and Nicole Poynor and children, and Pat Hagans and children, brothers-in-law, Michael L. Roberts and Ginger and children, Thomas J. and Sue Roberts and children.  Many numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

 He was preceded in death by his daughter Tasha Louann Hagans, father Roderick J. Poynor and mother Lois Jacob Poynor and mother-in-law Mary Loudiene Maddux.

 Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home.
