It’s time to shop for back to school supplies

 The school bells will ring for Weiser School District students on Aug. 14 at Weiser High School and Aug. 15 for Pioneer Elementary, Park Intermediate and Weiser Middle School. Students at Pioneer, Park, and Weiser Middle School will have a school orientation day on Aug. 14. 

 All new students to the Weiser School District may register at Weiser High School in the cafeteria, 690 W. Indianhead Road, on  Monday, Aug. 5 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.  

 At the time of registration, a certified birth certificate (not a copy) and an immunization record will be required.

 Returning Weiser High School student registration will begin Thursday, Aug. 8, with seniors from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; juniors from 10:30 a.m. to noon; and sophomores from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

 Freshmen will register on Friday, Aug. 9, between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon, and new students may register between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

 Weiser High School supply list is basic requirements:  College ruled notebook paper/binder, or spiral bound college rule paper, pens (blue, black and red) pencils (#2 or mechanical pencil) and additional supplies will be minimal. The High School staff will discuss additional supplies on the first day of class. 

Pioneer School

Kindergarten

 1 - 12-24 count package #2 pencils.

 2 boxes colored pencils.

 1 set of watercolor paints.

 4 glue sticks.

 1 bottle white liquid school glue.

 1 pair scissors.

 1 supply/pencil box.

 2-24 count box of crayons.

 2 black dry erase markers.

 Girls - container of disinfecting wipes.

 Boys - box of sandwich baggies.

 1 set of wide, washable markers.

 1 large backpack.

 1 poly (plastic) 2 pocket folder.

 1 full size bath towel or small blanket with student’s name, for rest time.

First Grade

 12 - number 2 yellow pencils (1 package of 12).

 1 box 12-24 colored pencils.

 2 large erasers or pencil top erasers.

 No white out or Sharpies.

Seventh grade

 Pencil pouch.

 24 number 2 pencils.

 2 pink eraser.

 Colored pencil set.

 Highlighters.

 1 blue, 1 red ink pen.

 2 one inch 3 ring binders. 

 2 package loose leaf filler paper (1 package each semester).

 7 folders with 3 hole punch.

 Plastic ruler with centimeters and inches.

 Protractor.

 Calculator – scientific calculator for math is helpful, however not required.

 2 large boxes facial tissue.

 1 pair earbuds or headphones with cord and no Bluetooth with student name clearly written on them.

 2 glue sticks.

 4 black dry erase markers (chisel tip preferred).

 No white out or Sharpies.

 All seventh grade students will take a semester of PE. Athletic shoes and clothing (must meet dress code requirements) are advised so student can participate to the fullest.

Eighth Grade
