Homedale gets past Weiser in bottom of the seventh

Weiser came up one run short against the Homedale Lady Trojans on Wednesday, April 13, taking a 14-13 loss in a down-to-the-wire battle.
 After falling four runs behind in the early going of the game, the scrappy Wolverines rallied in the third, putting eight runs on the board
 Three walks and an error put Rylee Roberts across home for Weiser’s first run. T. Noyer singled on a hard ground ball to second, and both Morris and Bushong scored on a fielding error. Maloney went to first after being hit by a pitch, putting Noyer in scoring position at third. Wilkins singled on a hard ground ball to center, advanced to second on the throw, and scored both Noyer and Cordes, moving Weiser into a 5-4 lead.
 Paisley Noyer singled on a line drive to center, scoring Wilkins and Maloney. Two outs and moving through Weiser’s batting order, Morris was walked a second time in the inning, sending P. Noyer home and giving the Wolverines an 8-4 lead.
 Going into the seventh inning, Weiser’s lead had narrowed to 12-10. In the top half, the Wolverines got their final run of the game when T. Noyer singled on the fourth pitch, scoring Roberts from second base. Three consecutive outs put Weiser back on defense.
 A pair of walks and a single scored the Trojans first run in the bottom of the inning. A. Quezada and K. Christofferson each scored on a passed ball, tying the game at 13-13. Another passed ball on a pitch to O. Miller allowed I. Larzlier to go home and the Wolverines taking their first conference loss of the season.
 In the circle for Weiser, P. Noyer pitched three, allowing eight runs on seven hits, and striking out two. Cordes threw three and a-third innings, allowing six runs on nine hits, and striking out one.
 T. Noyer went 2-for-3 at the plate. Wilkins led with 3 RBIs, with two each credited to T. Noyer, Maloney, and P. Noyer.
