Helen Liane Walchel

Helen Liane Walchel passed away June 18, 2019 at her home in Weiser Idaho.
 Helen Liane Walchel was born Nov. 21, 1944 to Charles Fredrick Johnson and Ellen Almira Nelson Johnson. She was the youngest of three daughters.
 Liane, in her younger years, lived in numerous places throughout the northwest, settling in Weiser, Idaho in 1979.
 Liane had two children, Mary Ellen and Michael Edward.
 In 1969 Liane met and married Jack Walchel. This union added Jodi (Cada) Walchel, Jack Jr. and Tracy Walchel to her family. With the addition of these children Liane’s family was complete.
 Liane had a passion for serving others and displayed this by managing numerous restaurants and ultimately running the kitchen at the Weiser Memorial Hospital from which she retired after 20 plus years.
 In her spare time she enjoyed reading, gardening and watching humming birds.
 Liane’s front door was never locked and she looked forward to visitors coming at anytime. This was true in regards to family. Especially her children and grandchildren.
 Liane is preceded in death by her parents Charles Fredrick Johnson and Ellen Almira Shaffer, sister Maxine Tucker, husband Jack Walchel, son Jack Jr., daughter Tracy and granddaughters Katie Lynn and Kasey Lee.
 She is survived by her children Mary Ellen Wall, Michael (Lisa) Walchel and Jodi (Wayne) Cada. Grandchildren Erin Wall, Tessa (Wall) Mitchell, Joe Wall, Meghan Walchel, Nic Walchel and Peggy McLean. Great-grandchildren Waycey Portenier, Trae Henricks, Brayden Mitchell and Aubree Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews.
 A gravesite service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weiser Idaho on June 28, 2019 at 11 a.m. A
reception immediately following at the family home, 1025 E. Liberty St., Weiser, Idaho. All are welcome.
