Geraldine (Geri) Witte Hilt

January 5, 1950 - October 14, 2023

 Geraldine (Geri) Witte Hilt, 73, of Weiser, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023. 

 Geri was born Jan. 5, 1950, in Weiser, Idaho and was raised there by her mother and father Ardith A. Anderson and John A. Witte. 

 She attended Weiser High School where she graduated in 1968. After graduation she attended Boise State College. Geri would return to Weiser and there met Bruce Floyd Hilt who she married Sept. 4, 1970.

 Geri and Bruce lived most of their lives in Weiser. They loved fishing and camping together. She was the mother of two children, John Lee born Aug. 26, 1974, and Trisha Lynn born Dec. 30, 1975.  

 Geri was a stay-at-home mom and supported all the sports and school activities of her children, attending all games and programs. She enjoyed arts and crafts, spending time spoiling her grandkids and loved her cats.

 Geri was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bruce F. Hilt, her mother, Ardith A. Anderson Witte, her father, John A. Witte, her aunt, Patricia A. (Pat) Harberd, and her brother-in-law, Tony Moura.

 She leaves behind her children, JL and Trisha; three grandchildren, Chance L. Hilt, Connor R. (Camila) Hilt, and Lainey G. Hilt; one great-grandchild, Lorenzo Bruce Hilt; her sister, Neena Witte of Ontario, Ore.; her uncle Monte K. (Gerry) Anderson of North Ogden, Utah; her cousins Jim (Darla) Harberd of Weiser, Tim (Laurie) Harberd of Jerome, Idaho, and Lisa (Brad) Grover of Eagle, Idaho; as well as one nephew, Jeff Moura;  and many friends.

 Graveside memorial services will be held May 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Weiser train depot.
