Debra Leann Langer

 Debra Leann Langer passed away on March 1, 2022 in Nampa, Idaho at 67 years of age.  

 Deb was born on Jan. 18, 1955 to Julia and Robert Hardiman in Nampa, Idaho. She was joined by two brothers: Sam and Kevin Hardiman.

 Deb spent her younger years in Nampa and moved to Council, Idaho to finish high school. It was in Council that she met the love of her life Jay Langer.  They married Dec. 30, 1973 and moved to Midvale to start their lives together and raise their children.  

 Deb absolutely loved the town of Midvale and all the things a small town offers. She loved sitting on the front porch and waving at cars driving by, talking to people that walked by, or yelling at cars to slow down. She looked forward to the daily trip to the grocery store to catch up on the town gossip. She was known for witty sense of humor, off colored jokes, and straight forward personality. 

 She was also known for her incredible empathy and as the town nurse. She was readily available for anyone that needed her and always willing to help anyone.

 Kids growing up in the community fondly remember being welcomed into her home for warm meals and never being turned away. She welcomed everyone and treated everyone with kindness and acceptance.

 Some of Deb’s greatest memories were the years spent as a nurse at Holy Rosary Hospital in Ontario and Weiser Memorial. She absolutely loved taking care of patients and being at bedside. She shared her compassion and sense of humor with patients and treated them all with empathy. She developed long-life friends with nurses and taught many.

 Debs’ collection of wind chimes and old irons and feeding hummingbirds to her amazing collection of recipes and her ability to bake rolls; simply cannot be captured in a few paragraphs. Simply put, she will be missed by anyone that knew her. 

 Deb was the proud mother of three children. Later she was promoted to Grandmother, Mema, and most recently Queeny (Great-Grandmother) and her grandchildren truly made her smile she loved them all dearly.

 Deb was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, and a sister-in-law.   

 She is survived by her spouse of 48 years, Jay. Her children and their spouses,  Pike and Becky Langer, Sam and Genine Langer,  Dori and Patrick Healey. Seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild.   Her two brothers, Sam (Ellen) Hardiman and Kevin Hardiman. Her Cambridge family and so many loving nieces and nephews whom she loved greatly.

 A memorial service will be held on March 26 at Midvale Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with a luncheon to immediate follow at the Midvale Veterans Hall.
