County property taxes due June 21

The second half installment of 2021 property taxes are due on Tuesday, June 21. 
 Payments can be made in person Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Washington County Treasurer’s office within the Washington County Courthouse at 256 E. Court St. in Weiser. County offices will be closed Monday, June 20 in observance of Emancipation Day Holiday.
 People can use the drop box located at the front entrance of the Courthouse. Place your envelope marked, “Attention: Washington County Tax Collector.”
 You can also pay with an online eCheck by visiting www.co.washington.id.us, including a vendor processing of $1, or use a credit/debit card over the phone by calling (208) 414-0324 during business hours or by visiting www.co.washington.id.us, the County Treasurer’s Office. A vendor processing fee of 2.5 percent of the total payment applies.
 Another option is sending your payment by mail. U.S. Post Mark to: Washington County Tax Collector, 256 E. Court St., Weiser, ID 83672. Be sure to postmark on or before June 21, 2022 to avoid late charges.
 To ensure payments are applied as intended, include parcel numbers on all types of payments. Your parcel number may be found on your original tax bill or reminder notice and is identified as a PIN. Idaho Code 63-903 directs the tax collector to charge a 2 percent delinquency fee and 1 percent per month of interest accrual on a delinquency dating back to January 1, 2022.
