Candidate forum set for April 21 in Weiser

District 9 and Washington County political candidates will take part in a live forum on Thursday, April 21 at the Vendome Events Center, located at 309 State St. in downtown Weiser.
The public is invited to hear the candidates speak and answer questions. There will be no live questions. Instead, those wishing to ask a question can write it down on paper and bring it to the event, or write it down at the venue. Paper and pens will be provided.
Candidates for Washington County Commissioner will kick off the evening at 5:30 p.m., followed by Washington County Precinct candidates at 6:30 p.m., and District 9 candidates at 7 p.m. The event will end at approximately 8 p.m.
Each candidate will make a 2- to 3-minute opening statement followed by a question-and-answer session. Questions may be directed to a specific candidate or in general to all candidates.
District 9 House of Representatives attendees include Jacyn Gallagher, Ryan Kerby, Judy Boyle, and Scott Syme. Senate representatives include Abby Lee, Jordan Marquez, Jim Rice, and Kayla Dunn. County commission candidates include Nate Marvin, Sarah Odoms, Kelly Erickson, Deb Warren, and Gordan Wilkerson. Also attending, are precinct committee candidates Ron Jaeger, Kevin Kirby, Lisa Collini, and Margaret Jensen.
The forum is a great way to meet all of the candidates and hear what they have to say on specific topics, which will be driven by submitted questions.
The event is co-sponsored by the Weiser Signal American and Living in the News.
